Salary Scale:
€97,978 to €115,166 pro rata per annum (subject to LSI’s Long Service Increments).
Annual Leave Entitlement:
34 days pro rata per annum (proportionally less for less than 12 months service).
Overview of the Post Enable Ireland delivers children’s services through the Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT) under the national Progressing Disabilities Services (PDS) model for children and young people with complex needs arising from a disability. The senior psychologist will provide assessment, intervention, clinical supervision, andservice development for young people (0–18 years) and their families within an interdisciplinary, family‑centred approach across a variety of settings, including clinics, preschools, schools, children’s homes, and community settings.
Overview of Duties&Responsibilities Provide a broad range of psychological services, including assessment, intervention, clinical supervision, ongoing service development, and participation in interdisciplinary team meetings.
Essential Criteria
University degree or diploma (QQ1 level 8 equivalent) in Psychology with 1st or 2nd class honours.
Irish post‑graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychology, or an equivalent qualification validated by the Department of Health.
Demonstrated competence in the Care Group(s) applied for.
At least five years satisfactory post‑graduate experience in professional psychology, with no more than three years spent completing the postgraduate professional qualification and at least two years full‑time post‑qualification experience.
For clinical or counselling psychologists, minimum of 60 days supervised clinical placement or post‑qualification supervised work experience in relevant settings (e.g., Disability, Child Psychology, Adult Psychology).
For educational psychologists, minimum of 60 days supervised clinical placement or post‑qualification supervised work experience in relevant settings (e.g., Child Disability, Child Psychology).
Member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or the British Psychological Society (BPS).
Current eligibility to work in the state.
Valid driving licence and access to own transport to deliver services across a large geographical area.
Desirable Criteria
Previous experience in a senior post.
Experience working with inter‑disciplinary teams.
Skills and competencies in assessment and intervention for mental health needs in children and young people with disabilities.
Experience working with children aged from birth to 18 years with a range of disabilities (e.g., physical disability, autism, learning disability) and their families.
Experience and qualification in completing diagnostic work‑ups including ASD, developmental delay, and intellectual disability.
