Director– Audit and Assurance Our Audit and Assurance team is expanding due to significant growth, offering greater opportunity for ambitious professionals to take on meaningful client work, collaborate across industries, and develop their careers in a supportive and inclusive environment.
This senior leadership role reports directly to Partners and offers the chance to lead major client engagements and shape the future of our growing practice.
Responsibilities
Promotion and oversight of quality audit work on all client engagements.
Taking full responsibility for managing and reviewing the work of the audit team.
Supervising and training all members of the team to ensure that standards are maintained throughout the entire audit process.
Managing client relationships.
Project management– managing a large and varied portfolio of clients.
Working capital management– managing work in progress and billings.
Client fee negotiation.
Preparation and presentation of business tenders to develop and grow the client portfolio.
Skills and attributes
ACA/ACCA qualified.
Proven experience in practice with a track record of high‑quality files.
Strong attention to detail and analytical assessment.
Strong technical skills in both auditing standards and financial reporting (IFRS, Irish and UK GAAP).
Ability to motivate and manage staff under tight deadlines.
Ability to make professional judgments based on findings.
Portfolio management experience.
Experience working as part of a team supporting others.
Commercial awareness.
Experience gained in a Big‑4 accounting firm would be advantageous.
