Occupational Therapist - Senior Grade Contract Type: 35 hours per week
Contract Hours: Permanent full-time
Salary Scale:€62,072 -€73,477 per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s Long Service Increments and may increase in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.
Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 days pro‑rata per annum
Overview of the Post Enable Ireland delivers children’s services through the Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT) under the national Progressing Disabilities Services (PDS) model for children and young people with complex needs arising from a disability. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a range of Occupational Therapyservices for young people (0‑18 years) and their families within an interdisciplinary framework. Service will include assessment and intervention, clinical supervision and ongoing service development, delivered through a family‑centred approach in a variety of settings including the clinic, preschools, schools, children’s homes and community settings.

Essential Criteria
Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU ( three years full‑time (or an aggregate of three years) post‑qualification clinical experience.
Have the requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
Provide proof of statutory registration on the Occupational Therapists Register before a contract of employment can be issued.
Maintain annual registration on the Occupational Therapists Register at the time of appointment and confirm it with Enable Ireland.
Minimum of 1 year post‑qualification experience of working with children with a range of disabilities/developmental delay and their families.
Experience in conducting Assessment of Need.
Experience of working with children aged 0‑18 years and their families.
Relevant current experience prescribing and monitoring equipment based on children’s needs.
Full driving licence with access to own transport.
Current eligibility to work in the state.
Desirable Criteria
Relevant post‑graduate training specific to 0‑18 years, such as Sensory Integration, Assistive Technology, Upper Limb Management of Tone, Splinting, Feeding, Postural Management, etc.
Relevant training and experience in the assessment and intervention of children with autism.
Experience supervising basic‑grade occupational therapists and/or students.
2 or more years working in paediatric services with children with a variety of disabilities and/or complex needs.
Experience in conducting Assessment of Needs assessments.
