The successful candidate will likely have the following experience:

Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA)

or

Certified Internal Auditor qualification

2+ years’ experience within internal audit, outsourced internal audit, or external audit with direct client engagement

Experience working with financial institutions, credit unions, financial services, or not‑for‑profit organisations beneficial

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build client relationships

Motivated, collaborative, and enthusiastic mindset with a strong interest in governance and risk advisory

Full driver’s licence and willingness to travel for client engagements where required

Role and Reporting Lines Reporting to senior members of the Governance, Risk&Advisory team, the successful candidate will be involved in the following:

Internal Controls Review

– Evaluate internal controls to assess the design and operational effectiveness of governance and risk frameworks

Internal Audit Delivery

– Prepare and complete internal audit work programmes to a high professional standard within agreed timelines

Client Engagement

– Liaise directly with clients throughout assignments and build strong working relationships

Reporting

– Draft clear and concise internal audit reports and communicate findings effectively

Audit Planning

– Assist with the preparation of internal audit plans, strategies, and engagement scopes

Risk Advisory

– Support clients in improving governance, control, and risk management processes

Collaboration

– Work closely with wider advisory teams across varied client assignments and sectors

Flexibility&Travel

– Participate in onsite client engagements across Ireland, including occasional overnight stays where required
