Maintenance Manager, Cork

Orange Recruitment are now sourcing an experienced Engineering&Asset Care Manager to join a major pharmaceutical operation based in Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork. This is a senior site-based role suited to someone with strong maintenance leadership experience within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, industrial or regulated environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, operational continuity and continuous improvement across a busy production facility. Key Responsibilities: Leading all maintenance and asset care activities across the facility Developing and implementing proactive maintenance strategies to maximise equipment uptime and operational efficiency Managing preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance schedules across plant equipment and site systems Supporting equipment reliability and driving continuous improvement initiatives across operations Leading, mentoring and developing a team of maintenance technicians and engineering personnel Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed in line with safety standards, compliance requirements and company procedures Managing CMMS systems and maintenance planning activities Overseeing spare parts, tooling and contractor coordination to minimise downtime and operational disruption Supporting root cause analysis investigations and implementing corrective actions to improve reliability Managing maintenance budgets, supplier relationships and external service providers Maintaining accurate maintenance documentation and supporting audit/compliance requirements Providing operational performance reporting and updates to senior management teams Ideal Background: Minimum 5 years' experience within a maintenance leadership or engineering management role Previous experience within pharmaceutical, manufacturing, industrial, food production or regulated environments highly desirable Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems Experience managing technical teams and coordinating maintenance projects Good knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and CMMS platforms Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills Engineering qualification or relevant technical background advantageous Experience driving equipment reliability and operational improvement initiatives Flexibility to support operational requirements and occasional on-call activity What's on Offer: Senior technical leadership position within a major manufacturing environment Strong long-term career progression opportunities Stable and growing sector Exposure to advanced equipment and site operations Supportive and collaborative engineering environment Competitive salary and benefits package Skills: Competent Maintenance Manager Skilled Maintenance Manager Knowledgeable Maintenance Manager Capable Domestic Electrician Proficient Maintenance Manager Detail-oriented Maintenance Manager Methodical Maintenance ManagerTPBN1_IJ
