Principal Biostatistician (R/Rshiny - EMEA BASED), Dublin Pike

Principal Biostatistician (R/Rshiny– EMEA BASED) We are seeking an experienced Principal Biostatistician to lead biostatistical analysis and support R and Rshiny development across clinical projects in EMEA. The role requires strong statistical expertise, programming leadership, and ability to mentor a team.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of statistical analysis plans (SAPs) and study reports.

Provide expert review and oversight of statistical outputs, including tables, listings, and figures.

Develop and maintain R‑based computing environments and Rshiny applications, including bug fixes and feature enhancements.

Integrate data‑visualisation tools and external applications into the internal environment.

Organise and conduct user training sessions, and provide on‑demand support for end users.

Mentor and coach biostatisticians; develop training plans and conduct sessions for new hires.

Collaborate with cross‑functional project teams (clinical, programming, data management) to ensure alignment with protocols and regulatory requirements.

Participate in regulatory agency meetings, data safety monitoring board activities, and other stakeholder interactions as required.

Maintain accurate and inspection‑ready documentation of study deliverables and quality control procedures.

Required Qualifications

PhD or MS in biostatistics, statistics, mathematics, or related field with emphasis on computing or informatics.

At least two years of biostatistical experience in Pharma, Biotech, or similar sector.

Strong, proven experience with R and Rshiny, including development of applications for clinical data.

Expertise in functional and object‑oriented programming; knowledge of Javascript/Typescript, HTML, and WebGL.

Experience with CUDA/GPU programming, cloud computing, GitHub, and web hosting environments.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex concepts clearly.

Fluency in English; location required in UK, Ireland, Poland, Spain, Greece, Hungary, Belgium, Romania, Ukraine, Netherlands, or France.
