Overview
The National Maternity Hospital is seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist to join the Department of Neonatology. The role will focus on providing psychological support to the neonatal inpatient cohort, their families and NICU staff members. Responsibilities
Provide psychological support to neonatal patients, families, and NICU staff throughout their NICU journey. Support families in dealing with the trauma of neonatal admission, mitigate PTSD, anxiety, and depression, and improve parent‑infant relationships. Address infant mental health and provide counselling to NICU staff to reduce burnout.Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient experience and improve neonatal outcomes. Qualifications
Experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist with relevant neonatal or paediatric experience. Proficiency in infant mental health and trauma‑informed practice. Experience working within an embedded multidisciplinary team setting. Commitment to evidence‑based psychological support in a hospital environment.Employment Details
Position funded as part of the National Maternity Hospital NICU expansion project. The psychologist will be embedded within the neonatal unit as a core member of the multidisciplinary team.
