We are currently seeking a highly-motivated CNM2/ Person In Charge (PIC) to join our team in Ard Na Mara, Ballyhimkin, Ladysbridge, Co Cork.

Contract Hours:
37.5 hours per week
Salary Scale:
€58,245 to €69,260 pro rata per annum.
Annual Leave Entitlement:
34-37 days (depending on experience) per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service
Overview of the Post The Respite Services Coordinator/Person in Charge (PIC) will be responsible for the overall management of Enable Ireland’s Ard na Mara Respite Services for adults based in Ladysbridge, East Cork. This includes PIC responsibility for the residential respite service, the management of staff and providing the highest standards of residential respite and alternative respite services and individualised packages of carewhen required.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring compliance with HIQA standards and implementation of Enable Ireland policies and procedures supporting best care and practice in disability services. The main responsibilities include working in partnership with service owners, their representatives/families, resource management, ensuring a safe effective service to service owners, staff development, standard setting and monitoring, facilitating communication and managing staff teams to deliver the service. The post holder will also have a lead role in the management and monitoring of risk, safeguarding and Health and Safety across adult respite and day services.

Essential Criteria
Registered with AN Bord Altranais (NMBI) as a Registered Nurse.
In exceptional circumstances, registered in another Division of the register of Nurses (subject to case‑by‑case assessment).
Recognised validated University Degree or an equivalent qualification in Nursing.
Minimum of 5 years post qualification full-time experience.
Recognised management qualification.
Evidence of continuing professional development.
Minimum of 3 years working at a senior level or in a supervisory capacity.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Children/Adults with disabilities (physical disability, autism, learning disability) and their families.
Ability to provide staff supervision training and development. Excellent working knowledge of HIQA Guidance for the Assessment of Centres for persons with Disabilities, regulations and inspection requirements.
Eligible to work in the State.
Annual Registration
On appointment, maintain live annual registration on the appropriate/relevant Division of the register of Nurses maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) for the role.
Desirable Criteria
Good knowledge of the disability sector e.g. Time to Move On From Congregated Settings.
