Due to our continued success, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to help develop relationships and deliver best‑in‑class service to our corporate clients. This is a field‑based role that is responsible for key client acquisition. The successful candidate will establish relationships with key decision makers and progress sales opportunities from direct lead generation through to close and completion. Awinning attitude combined with a sales‑focused, hunting mindset is essential for success.

Key Responsibilities

Grow and develop the business through new client acquisition and retention

Structured cold calling both F2F, target market

To negotiate and successfully close sales opportunities to meet and exceed agreed sales targets.

To assist B2B team with client onboarding once sale agreed

Site surveys

Metre reads

Installation point of contact

Demonstrating to end users

Hosting Tennant evenings on energy saving and prepay product

Maintain excellent relationships and after‑sales support to build mutual confidence in line with the agreed business strategy.

Raise the company and business profile by representing PrepayPower at industry events, high‑level networking and always promoting an image of professionalism.

Liaise regularly with the Sales Operation&Growth Manager to ensure they are fully updated on all sales activities and potential new business opportunities.

Ensure that appropriate signoffs are adhered to when considering new business opportunities with our operational team.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

Minimum 1+ years’ experience in a Sales role within a high‑growth organisation

Excellent relationship and interpersonal skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Must demonstrate a strong sense of customer focus and promote a sense of team spirit.

Proven track record in delivering against targets/deadlines.

Results‑driven, goal‑oriented with a strong hunting mentality.

Proactive, self‑starter who enjoys having accountability and ownership.

Experience in dealing with a range of people.

Must be able to influence others and engender confidence in senior managers through both face‑to‑face, telephone and written communication.

Self‑motivated with an ability to prioritise demands and make decisions under pressure.
