Lead Veterinary Practitioner– OOH / Emergency Full‑time, Permanent – All Pets Veterinary Hospital, Drogheda, Co. Louth

Salary:€70,000–€80,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits

Step Into a Leadership Role From Day One. This is a rare opportunity to lead a brand‑new Out of Hours and Emergency service at All Pets Veterinary Hospital. With our night team already in place, we’re now looking for a Lead OOH Vet to take the reins, shape the service, and set the standard for emergency care in the region.

Responsibilities

Lead and support a dedicated night team.

Drive clinical standards and best practice in Emergency Veterinary Care.

Help shape protocols, workflows, and the future of the service.

Be a trusted clinical presence overnight.

Rota

7 nights on / 14 nights off.

Shifts from 6/7 pm to 8/9 am depending on the day of the week.

Averaging under 32 hours per week.

Facilities

Digital radiography&ultrasound.

Fully equipped in‑house lab.

Surgical theatres&dedicated wards.

Team You’ll be leading a skilled and supportive night team, backed by a large hospital team with expertise across multiple disciplines. This is a collaborative environment where ideas are welcomed, development is encouraged, and support is always available when needed.

Who This Role Suits

Experienced, confident ECC or GP vet.

Comfortable handling emergencies independently.

Enjoys leadership and mentoring others.

Wants to build and shape a new service.

VCI registered and available to start in August 2026.
