Project ESPWA seeks new board Trustees– Could this be you? Project ESPWA is entering a defining chapter in its journey, and we are seeking a group of new board level trustees who can help guide our organisation into its next era of impact, integrity, and growth.

With the current chairperson and several long‑serving board members completing their terms this year, we are preparing for a thoughtful, well‑managed transition.

To support this process, we are inviting expressions of interest for a new cohort of trustees who can help steward this transition and shape the future of our governance. We are looking for the following skillsets and have an open mind to discovering others to support us.

Project ESPWA are seeking to recruit trustees with a background in Logistics, Marketing, Finance and Volunteering. The Board are particularly interested in individuals with recent and relevant experience in Humanitarian aid.

Logistics Director

– to manage all logistics for all aid sent abroad.

Marketing Director

– to manage Marketing, PR and particularly Social Media

Finance Director

– to ensure accounts are produced for Charities Regulator

Volunteering Director

– to assist us grow our group of volunteers.

These are pivotal roles and will:

Support the rotation and succession of long‑serving directors as they move into a newly formed Patron Support Group

Strengthen our governance structures to ensure continuity, transparency, and long‑term sustainability

Champion our mission and values at a time when humanitarian needs are growing worldwide

About Project ESPWA Project ESPWA is a registered Irish humanitarian NGO, entirely volunteer‑run and operating with

zero overheads . Every euro donated goes directly to communities in crisis. Our model is simple but powerful: rapid, transparent, accountable aid delivered by ordinary people determined to make an extraordinary difference.

"Espwa" means hope in Haitian Creole— a word that captures both the practical support we deliver and the deeper belief that communities can rise when given the tools, dignity, and solidarity they deserve.

The Trustee Roles These are voluntary, non‑executive leadership positions suited to someone who believes in humanitarian action and understands the importance of strong governance.

We are particularly interested in individuals with:

Experience in corporate governance

Familiarity with the Charities Regulator’s Governance Code

A commitment to accountability, transparency, and ethical leadership

A genuine interest in humanitarian work and community‑driven impact
