Resident Engineers&Senior Resident Engineers (Civil), Dublin

Resident Engineer / Senior Resident Engineer (Civil) Jennings O’Donovan&Partners, part of the RSK Group, is recruiting for Resident Engineers and Senior Resident Engineers to join our construction team on high‑profile water and wastewater projects for Uisce Éireann.

Contract Type:

Fixed Term Contracts.

Location Nationwide– including Cavan, Clare, Cork, Donegal, Galway, Kildare, Kilkenny, Limerick, Mayo, Meath, Waterford.

Key Responsibilities (depending on role level)

Oversee construction activities on‑site and maintain detailed project records.

Manage communication and coordination with the Project Team.

Act as the point of contact for the Employer’s Representative.

Coordinate interface issues between contracts.

Engage with stakeholders throughout project delivery.

Review and report on contractor claims and payment applications.

Evaluate contractor performance against KPIs and contract requirements.

Review and provide feedback on Method Statements and Risk Assessments.

Assess design submissions to ensure compliance with project specifications.

Address contractual and compliance issues on‑site.

Candidate Requirements

Level 8 Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering.

Resident Engineer: Minimum of 4 years’ relevant site supervision experience in civil engineering.

Senior Resident Engineer: Minimum of 7 years’ experience, including significant on‑site supervision, project management and contract administration.

Proven track record on major infrastructure projects such as water/wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, pumping stations or large‑scale civil works.

Strong understanding of Health&Safety legislation and regulatory compliance.

Ability to produce accurate and detailed reports and maintain clear documentation.

Familiarity with Quality Assurance Systems and construction contracts; experience in FIDIC and Public Works forms of contract is advantageous.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and general IT tools for reporting and documentation.

Excellent communication, organisation and coordination skills.

Possession of a full, clean driving licence.
