Associate Vice President– Private Equity Fund Accounting
The Opportunity As an AVP in Private Equity Fund Accounting, you will play a key leadership role in managing a team of accounting professionals, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of fund reporting, capital activity, and financial statements. You’ll be empowered to develop into a subject matter expert, provide strategic oversight of client deliverables, and contribute to global projects shaping the future of fund services.
You will be working alongside some of the industry’s most talented professionals, in a collaborative and supportive environment that encourages both professional growth and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of supervisors and specialists, supporting their development and performance.
Oversee client deliverables, including reporting packs, capital activity processing, and financial statement preparation.
Review management fee, waterfall, and carry calculations for complex fund structures.
Act as a trusted partner for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring service standards are met.
Monitor KPIs and KRIs to ensure efficient and risk-aware operations.
Contribute to onboarding new fund structures and participate in global and local projects.
Support continuous improvement within processes, systems, and client servicing.
About You We are seeking an accomplished accounting professional who brings both technical expertise and leadership ability. Ideally, you will have:
5+ years’ experience in accounting operations or practice.
3+ years’ exposure to Private Equity fund accounting (desirable but not essential).
A strong academic background in Finance or Accounting (2.1 degree or equivalent desirable).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong knowledge of financial services products, practices, and regulatory environment.
Proficiency in fund accounting systems, as well as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
