Senior Practice Accountant - Dublin

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Accountant to join a growing accountancy practice. The successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors, delivering high-quality accounting, taxation, and advisory services while supporting junior team members and maintaining strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review year-end financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies Prepare management accounts and financial reports for clients Assist clients with budgeting, cashflow forecasting, and business advisory matters Prepare and review corporation tax, income tax, and VAT returns Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact Liaise with Revenue, banks, and other third parties on behalf of clients Support and mentor trainee/junior accountants Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements Assist with practice development and identify opportunities to add value to clients Requirements ACA / ACCA / CPA qualified or qualified by experience Minimum 35 years experience working within an accountancy practice Strong experience in accounts preparation and taxation Experience managing client relationships and deadlines Knowledge of Irish accounting and tax regulations Proficient in accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or Surf Excellent communication and organisational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Desirable Audit experience advantageous but not essential Experience working with SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and farmers beneficial Strong commercial awareness and advisory mindset Whats on Offer Competitive salary package Career progression opportunities Exposure to a broad client base Supportive and collaborative team environment Hybrid/flexible working options depending on experience and location ProSource is a dedicated Recruitment company providing Finance recruitment solutions across Ireland.
