We are exclusively partnering with a successful Irish-owned logistics and supply chain business to appoint a newly created HR Manager. This is a rare opportunity to step into a No1 HR role within a growing organisation and shape the people function as part of the senior leadership team. The Business With over 30 years' experience, the company is a respected market leader operating across Ireland, the UK, and the Netherlands. Turnover exceeds€35m, with over 100 employees and strong ongoing growth plans. The culture is entrepreneurial, commercial, and operationally focused, valuing accountability and relationship-building. The Opportunity This is the organisation's first senior HR hire, responsible for building HR foundations and evolving the people function over the next 3-5 years. Initially focused on HR operations, the role will expand into leadership development, succession planning, engagement, and organisational development. Highly visible, the position works closely with senior leadership and Board stakeholders in a founder-led environment. Key Responsibilities Lead HR across Ireland, UK, and Netherlands Manage HR operations, employee relations, and compliance Improve HR systems, processes, and reporting Support leadership and middle management development Build succession planning and organisational capability Develop engagement initiatives suited to an operational workforce Manage external HR/legal partners Shape a scalable people strategy aligned to growth plans Candidate Profile An experienced HR professional with strong operational and commercial capability, suited to a fast-paced, founder-led environment.Backgrounds in logistics, manufacturing, or similar sectors are advantageous but not essential. Key strengths: Senior HR generalist/lead experience Strong employment law and HR operations knowledge Experience in scaling or evolving organisations Practical, credible stakeholder management High emotional intelligence and influencing skills Balance of hands-on delivery and strategic input Process and systems improvement experience Resilient, collaborative, pragmatic approach Additional Information Primarily onsite (especially in year one) Flexible start/finish times Quarterly UK travel Strong focus on long-term cultural fit This is a unique opportunity to build and lead HR in a growing business with real influence at leadership level.
