Location: CHO 8 Meath CDNT 4 (Dunshaughlin / East Meath) and CDNT 5 (Navan / Slane). Contract Type: Permanent Part‑time. Contract Hours: 28 hours per week (0.80). Salary Scale: €62,072 to €73,477 pro rata per annum. Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 days pro rata per annum.

Overview of the Post The post holder will provide clinical nutrition services to Service Users referred by the Children’s services teams. This involves the provision of nutritional counselling and nutritional support to Service Users and their families, including the initial consultation as well as ongoing review.

Be registered, or be eligible for registration, as a Dietician by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU.

Have 3 years full‑time (or an aggregate of 3 years full‑time) post‑qualification dietetic experience.

Demonstrate the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.

Provide proof of statutory registration on the Dietitians Register before a contract of employment is issued.

Maintain annual registration on the Dietitians Register thereafter.

Hold a valid driving licence in the state and have access to own transport to deliver services across a large geographical area.

Be eligible to work in the state.

Essential Criteria

Registered or eligible for registration as a Dietician by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU.

Three years full‑time (or equivalent) post‑qualification dietetic experience.

Required knowledge and professional ability for the role.

Proof of statutory registration before employment.

Annual registration maintenance.

Valid driving licence and transport for travel.

Eligibility to work in the state.

Desirable Criteria

Postgraduate experience working with children with disabilities in a community‑based setting.

Postgraduate paediatric dietetic experience.

Postgraduate INDI Paediatric Course completed.

Membership of INDI.
