Who are we looking for? We are looking for a dynamic Senior Fund Accounting Manager at Assistant Vice President level to join the Fund Accounting Ireland team to lead end‑to‑end service delivery, operational performance, risk, and client outcomes for one of our most significant clients.
Why this role is important to us? Fund accounting is part of our Investment Services business and is a core service within the Global Delivery team, providing asset owners and managers with access to our essential financial tools to deliver effective investment solutions. Our fund accounting team offers crucial operational service for our global clients. This role is related to servicing a specific client and is critical given the scale, complexity, and strategic importance of this client within our Ireland and Global Delivery model. The Assistant Vice President will act as the day‑to‑day contact for this relationship for Fund Accounting, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and strategic alignment with client expectations.
Job Description Role specifics:
Act as the primary point of contact for client, delivering high‑quality client service support.
Ensure effective day to day BAU service delivery from the Ireland Fund Accounting team and global operations teams servicing this client and the timely escalation and remediation of issues as they arise, including execution of
NAV oversight
Distributions
Expense budget, payment and reporting
Client and regulatory reporting
Accounting query resolution
Error resolution and reporting
Staff training
Review and update department operational procedures, to ensure controls remain effective and mitigate operational risk wherever possible.
Collaborate with teams across our global operating model to service our clients.
Manage team members and actively participate in their personal and career development.
Collaborate with Transformation design initiatives to identify and create efficiencies through technological enhancements and development.
Support delivery of change initiatives for the client, including transitions, launches, and operating model changes.
Managerial:
Ensure that your team has clear understanding of their reporting lines, scope of responsibilities (including those delegated to them and those they delegate), objectives, training and competence.
Develop effective working relationships and communication with leaders and staff and ensure that the team is motivated, developed and supported.
Develop a strong talent pipeline for the team, including succession planning for critical roles.
Implement an effective oversight framework for the client service model to ensure that issues are appropriately identified, escalated and resolved.
Establish and nurture a culture of‘Risk Excellence’ within the team, encourage an environment of openness that welcomes effective challenge and supports open discussion.
Establish and nurture a culture of individual ownership of tasks to embed a clear individual sense of accountability into staff members’ behaviour in performing their roles.
Ensure that the highest level of the Code of Conduct is displayed in your own and staff behaviour.
What we value
Primary degree and/or a professional accounting qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Fund Accounting or a comparable financial services environment, with proven experience supporting complex fixed income funds and derivative instruments.
Proven experience in leadership roles within Fund Accounting or Investment Services, with accountability for large, complex client relationships.
Strong leadership capability, with the ability to set and maintain high standards of personal and professional performance and behaviour.
Clear, confident communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, employees, and internal stakeholders.
Strong delegation, prioritisation, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop teams, supporting both personal and professional growth.
High attention to detail, with a strong focus on quality and control.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
High levels of self‑motivation, resilience, and enthusiasm.
