Join the Board of Gorey Family Resource Centre Established in 2010, Gorey Family Resource Centre is part of a national network of 121 Family Resource Centres (FRCs) delivering Ireland’s largest community-based family support programme.

The FRC Programme works to reduce disadvantage and promote the well‑being of individuals, families, and communities. Central to its mission is the meaningful involvement of local people in identifying community needs and developing appropriate responses. Each FRC offers a range of universal and targeted services tailored to local priorities.

Every FRC is guided by a Voluntary Board of Directors, which plays a key role in shaping its strategic direction and ensuring that services respond effectively to community needs. The programme is primarily funded by Tusla– the Child and Family Agency.

Gorey FRC is currently seeking dedicated and socially minded individuals to join its Board of Directors. We welcome expressions of interest from those with relevant skills and a commitment to contributing to the development of a strong, sustainable organisation.

Board Members are typically expected to attend approximately ten meetings per year and may also participate in subcommittees or task‑specific groups. Occasional involvement in additional meetings may be required.

The Board is responsible for providing strategic leadership, ensuring good governance, overseeing the effective use of resources, and supporting the management team in achieving the Centre’s goals.

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with experience or expertise in one or more of the following areas:

Human Resources

Financial Management

Health and Safety

Supporting Vulnerable Groups

Governance of Public or Not‑for‑Profit Organisations

Leadership and Strategic Planning

Community Engagement and Development
