Maintenance Fitter, Dublin

Job Description McAree Engineering Works Limited is looking for Maintenance Fitters for their premises at Ballinode, County Monaghan, Ireland (H18 K103). Salary ranges from€36,000 to €56,000 based on a 39‑hour week, with potential increase based on experience and extra hours.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical assembly of industrial units and sub‑components

Maintenance and repair of machinery and production equipment

Use of hand and power tools including drills, grinders, torque tools, and cutting equipment

Reading and interpreting technical drawings and assembly instructions

Bolting, fitting, aligning, and securing mechanical components

Assisting with preventive maintenance activities

Operating overhead gantry cranes and lifting equipment

Supporting production and material handling operations

Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures

Maintaining quality standards and reporting defects where necessary

Candidate Requirements

Previous experience in manufacturing, maintenance, mechanical fitting, or industrial assembly environment

Good mechanical aptitude and practical problem‑solving ability

Experience using hand and power tools

Ability to read technical drawings and follow instructions

MIG welding experience advantageous but not essential

Overhead crane experience beneficial; training may be provided

Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team

Good level of English preferred for safety and operational purposes

Trade qualification or relevant mechanical experience desirable

Manual handling awareness preferred

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices
