Staff Nurse - Cath Lab - Dublin

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Staff Nurse - Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory (Cath Lab) to join a leading private acute hospital setting in Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and skilled nurse to join a high-performing cardiac team delivering advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures in a modern, state-of-the-art environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting cardiac procedures, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care throughout the peri-procedural pathway.

Key Responsibilities

Provide safe and effective nursing care within the Cardiac Cath LabAssist with a wide range of diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures ( angiograms, angioplasty, stent insertion)Prepare patients for procedures, including pre-assessment and monitoringScrub, circulate, or monitor patient care during cardiac proceduresSupport cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams during invasive proceduresMonitor patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure to ensure patient safetyMaintain accurate clinical documentation in line with hospital and NMBI standardsEnsure strict adherence to infection prevention and radiation safety protocolsManage and maintain Cath Lab equipment and stock levelsProvide reassurance and emotional support to patients and families

Requirements

Registered General Nurse with active NMBI registrationMinimum 1-2 years' experience in acute care, ICU, ED, theatre, or cardiology preferredStrong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skillsExperience or strong interest in cardiology or interventional proceduresExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environmentStrong attention to detail and patient safety focus

Stamp 4 or EU Passport holders only at this stageMust have full eligibility to work in Ireland without sponsorship
