Description
Our client is seeking a Communications & Engagement Executive to join their Dublin team across communications, media relations, social media, content creation, events coordination, stakeholder engagement and internal communications. This role focuses on social media management, media monitoring, newsletter production, event promotion, press office support and cross-functional communications activity. Location: Dublin | Salary: €16.34 €21.69 per hour | Contract: 12-month fixed-term (hybrid) The Opportunity This is a varied communications role supporting a national public sector organisation, with responsibility for social media, media relations, content production, event coordination and internal communications activity. You will work closely with the Senior Communications and Public Affairs Manager, Head of Programmes and Engagement and Executive Director, contributing to communications campaigns, public affairs priorities and audience engagement across a range of channels and platforms. Key Responsibilities Monitor media coverage and prepare quarterly reports on communications and social media activity Manage and grow social media channels including content curation and scheduling Assist in the production of the monthly newsletter and other promotional and ad hoc materials Support media relations activity through drafting press materials and responding to media enquiries Provide communications advice and support to organisation-wide activities Support internal communications initiatives across the organisation Essential Requirements Third-level degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Social Media or a related discipline - At least 3 year's experience in a similar role Strong writing, editing, proofreading and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong digital marketing skills and knowledge of current social media trends Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders Strong organisational, project, event and time management skills Resourceful, enthusiastic and solutions-focused with the ability to perform well under pressure Desirable Previous experience in a public sector environment Working knowledge of the Irish language Apply:Send your CV via the link below.
