Junior Mechanical Engineer, Dublin

Junior Mechanical Engineer We are hiring a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join a leading Mechanical Contractor in Dublin. This role supports the delivery of mechanical installations on large-scale projects, ensuring systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in line with design and regulatory requirements. The position is site-based in Dublin with occasional travel to Europe. Responsibilities Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and compliance Support design development and resolve technical queries Assist with procurement, including equipment selection and material approvals Monitor on-site installations to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to specifications Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams Track progress and report updates to Project Management Maintain documentation (ITPs, quality records, RFIs, red-line drawings) Requirements Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) 12 years experience in building services or construction engineering Knowledge of HVAC systems, piping, and mechanical installations Ability to interpret technical drawings and solve engineering issues Familiarity with MS Office and BIM tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks) Knowledge of Irish/EU construction standards is an advantage Benefits Salary: €35,000 €40,000 DOE Pension contribution Performance-related bonus Further education support Opportunity for international project exposure If you are a Junior Mechanical Engineer who is looking for your next career move, send your CV to Kate OHerlihy or call for a confidential discussion.
