Maintenance Electrician

Location; High spec 7 storey Tourist Attraction Building, Dublin 8

Working 8.30am to 5.30pm Mon - Fri (non negotiable as determined by the client)

On-call rotated every 3 weeks

Salary; c€57, - €65, doe

Permanent Staff Position

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will be a key member of the on-site FM team ensuring quality day to day FM maintenance and service delivery in line with service standards and Client expectations. This role will be based on a busy Client facing site, so good presentation, attitude and a personable manner is a must for this role.

Role; oversee a Planned Preventative Maintenance service

Carry out electrical maintenance / installations where instructed.

Identify & escalate any maintenance or life & safety issue and implement corrective action with prior agreement with Client

Planned preventative maintenance of Electrical systems; lighting, relays, fire systems, power systems etc.

Complete all site lighting repairs and replacements

Reactive repairs ensuring minimum downtime on equipment

Meet service level agreements and respond to emergency breakdowns acro

Assist with the monitoring and control of utilities supplied to the building including supporting and assisting in the development and implementation of energy conservation and reduction schemes.ss site

Ensure all QHSE requirements are fulfilled prior to work commencing 

Ability to complete handyman tasks as required

Specify and order materials as needed for works and ensure stock levels of critical spares are kept updated 

Problem solving ensuring a solution for all required repairs in a timely manner

Liaise with helpdesk, Management and customers with updates on a daily basis

Supervise subcontractors onsite to ensure a contractor management system, including H&S

Positively and actively contribute to and participate in continuous improvement activities in the team

Working as part of a team on multi-disciplined projects

High standard of housekeeping, material handling and safety at all times

Person Specification 

Trade qualified Electrician with at least 3 years’ maintenance experience on a commercial site or similar 

Must be client focused with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Have experience in completing and operating to method statements, risk assessments, Safe Plans of Actions and Permits associated with their work activities

Ability to work on own initiative

Ability to complete paperwork and reports 

Enthusiastic approach to work 

Neat appearance and manner 

Ability to work professionally within client premises 

Proven track record in successfully carrying out maintenance on the above mentioned systems... this should be outlined in your application detailing the systems you maintained
