Construction Site Manager - Buildings Contractor - Dublin

Office/Project Location: Dublin City & region

Employment Type: Permanent

Work Location: Site based

Pay: €70K-€85K based on experience

Experience: 5+years working with main contractors

Visa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa required

Our client is a main buildings contractor working on a wide variety of projects in the commercial, healthcare and educational sectors.

As a Site Manager you will have 5+ years solid site experience within the construction and building industry, preferably with a Main Contractor. 

The successful candidate will have experience of working on high quality medium to large scale projects in various sectors Industrial, Health, Pharma, Commercial & Education.

Oversee operations on a day to day basis while monitoring and tracking progress

Inspect works in progress and completed work, to make sure it complies with project specifications

Ensure work complies with building regulations as well as other legal requirements

Ensure Quality standards are maintained at all times.

Co-ordinate and manage subcontractors and other labour workers

Keep in close contact with members of the site team at all times

Liaise with architects, engineers, surveyors and planners

Ensure work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Handle onsite incidents and emergencies in a proactive manner

Ensure all materials, supplies, tools and equipment are procured in a time efficient manner

Requisition of materials

Create progress reports on a daily basis and ensure that any significant information is communicated to management

Attending daily briefings, Record Daily site activities (daily log)

Monitor / raise and track variations on site in conjunction with the Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager 

Requirements

3rd level qualification or trade background with 5 years experience in similar roles with main contractors 

Excellent organisation & time management skills

Proven track record of working to strict timescales, with strong attention to detail

Excellent client facing skills

Thorough knowledge of building practices

Experience of managing large scale projects would be an advantage
