Accounts Assistant, Dublin

Your new company

A National Governing Body based in North Dublin, with offices based nationwide, is looking to recruit an accounts assistant on a 6-month contract with strong Accounts IQ experience. This role is initially a contract opportunity with a view to extension.

Your new role

Process and reconcile supplier invoices, staff expenses, and credit card transactionsPerform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepanciesAssist with monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entriesMaintain the general ledger and ensure timely posting of transactionsSupport month-end and year-end close proceduresProduce reports for internal stakeholdersEnsure compliance with financial policies and internal controlsLiaise with internal departments and external suppliersProvide ad-hoc finance support as needed

What you'll need to succeed

Proven experience with Accounts IQ accounting softwareStrong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and month-end proceduresExperience preparing monthly management accountsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office toolsExcellent organisational and communication skillsAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesAAT qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (desirable but not essential)What you'll get in return Competitive salary: €40,000 – €45,000 per annum, based on experienceOpportunity to work in a fast-paced and supportive finance teamFlexible start timesOpportunity for extension
