Hotel Commis Chef, Dublin

The Royal Marine Hotel, renowned for its location overlooking Dublin Bay and its beautifully landscaped gardens, is seeking a motivated Commis Chef to join our established and supportive kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate chef to develop their skills in a high-quality, fast-paced hotel kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior chefs with the preparation, production, and service of food across all outlets
• Prepare, cook, and present dishes on the assigned section to the required standard
• Support service delivery for both internal and external guests
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of all menus, including breakfast, lunch, table d'hote, and a la carte
• Complete and update production sheets accurately on a daily basis
• Ensure food is prepared and delivered to the correct area in a timely manner
• Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
• Maintain a clean and organised work station at all times
• Report any faults with equipment, fixtures, or fittings to the supervising chef and ensure equipment is used correctly

The Ideal Candidate

• A genuine interest and passion for food and cooking
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and cleanliness
• Ability to work calmly and effectively in a busy kitchen environment
• A positive team player with good communication skills
• Willingness to learn, develop, and take on feedback
• Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Kitchen Assistant is an advantage, but not essential
