Full-Time Permanent Clerkin Connect is recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading Irish engineering company specialising in High Voltage systems, electrical infrastructure, modular substations, and mission-critical energy projects across Ireland and Europe. As part of an ambitious growth strategy and operational scaling programme, the company is investing significantly in digital transformation, systems integration, operational excellence, and innovation. This newly created senior leadership role will play a critical part in shaping and delivering the organisation's digital future.We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Digital Transformation&Business Systems to lead the development, implementation, integration, and governance of the company's core digital platforms, systems, and technology roadmap. The successful candidate will lead major initiatives including: Enterprise-wide Procore implementation and optimisation Sage Intacct integration and digital financial workflowsBIM-aligned information management systems and ISO 19650 compliance standards AI governance and responsible AI implementation Digital process standardisation across projects and operations Change management, training, and organisational adoption Data management, reporting, and systems integration strategyThe Opportunity

Lead a company-wide digital transformation programme Build and shape the future digital infrastructure of a growing engineering business Work directly with senior leadership on strategic business initiatives Influence operational excellence, scalability, and innovation Develop long-term digital capability across the organisationPlay a key role in supporting European expansion plans Key Responsibilities

Develop and lead the company's digital transformation roadmap aligned to business growth objectives. Drive the adoption of modern digital systems, workflows, and reporting capabilities across all departments. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, collaboration, and data visibility through technology.Build a scalable digital operating framework to support continued business expansion. Lead the development of digital governance structures and best practice operational standards. Lead the implementation, optimisation, and ongoing management of Procore as the company's central project management platform.Oversee integration between Procore, Sage Intacct, BIM systems, document control platforms, and operational reporting tools. Work closely with finance, technical, operations, and project teams to ensure systems alignment and interoperability. Manage digital workflows covering procurement, scheduling, QA/QC, reporting, commissioning, and project delivery.Support development of real-time dashboards, KPI reporting, and business intelligence systems. BIM, ISO&Compliance Systems

Lead the company's digital strategy surrounding BIM implementation and ISO 19650 information management standards. Establish and govern Common Data Environment (CDE) protocols, document control procedures, revision management, and digital approval workflows. Ensure digital systems support quality assurance, compliance tracking, audit readiness, and operational traceability across all projects.AI Governance&Innovation

Develop and implement company-wide AI governance policies and responsible AI usage frameworks. Evaluate opportunities for AI-enabled automation, reporting, document management, and operational efficiency. Ensure appropriate cybersecurity, data protection, and digital risk management protocols are embedded into business systems.Change Management&User Adoption

Lead organisational change management initiatives associated with digital transformation projects. Develop structured onboarding, communication, and training programmes to support system adoption. Act as a champion for continuous improvement and digital culture development across the business. Leadership&Stakeholder Management Work closely with senior leadership to prioritise digital initiatives and investment opportunities. Manage relationships with software vendors, implementation partners, and external consultants. Provide regular project updates, implementation milestones, and strategic recommendations to leadership.Qualifications&Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Project Management, Business Systems, ora related discipline. Minimum 7+ years' experience leading digital transformation, enterprise systems, or business systems projects. Strong experience implementing platforms such as Procore, Sage Intacct, ERP systems, BIM platforms, or equivalent enterprise technologies.Experience implementing or managing BIM information management standards aligned with ISO 19650 would be highly advantageous. Strong understanding of Common Data Environments (CDEs), digital document control, and project information workflows. Experience within engineering, construction, utilities, manufacturing, infrastructure, or mission-critical project environments is highly desirable.Demonstrated experience leading organisational change and cross-functional transformation initiatives. Knowledge of AI governance, cybersecurity awareness, and digital compliance frameworks would be advantageous. Personal Attributes
