Role –Database Systems Architect (Senior) /Role no 45

Location: Offsite, (Must be within the Island of Ireland or an EU Country)

Mandatory Requirements (Pass/Fail)

1.       Experience Level Required
It is a mandatory requirement that the Resource proposed has the equivalent of senior level (7+years) experience

2.       Availability on Commencement Date
The resource must be available to provide services from the commencement date of the services estimated to be 1st July 2026.

3.       English Language Proficiency

Native English speaker OR

CEFR C2 Proficiency/Mastery (or equivalent)

If there is no certificate, fluency will be assessed at presentation stage

Role Specifications and Requirements

1. Key Deliverables

The following, non-exhaustive list of Key Deliverables, are applicable to this Role.

·         Leads & co-ordinates the optimised database architecture

·         Works with the relevant ICT technical resources/ stakeholders to define the technical requirements, collaborates with the relevant parties involved and designs the supporting ICT framework environment, taking account of the interdependencies for the solution proposed across the whole infrastructure.

·         Acts as a subject matter expert focused on designing the database infrastructure to best practice industry standards taking account of proposed use of the data and by whom

·         Experience across a wide range of database language such as SQL Server, or equivalent.

·         Experience in off premise cloud based platform interoperability with local on premise systems

·         Adheres to a given set of constraints specified at the outset of the design process.

·         Estimate the effort required to complete the database architecture work on software development projects, to allow for good project planning and project management

2. Key Experience/Competencies/Skillsets

The following Experience/Competencies/Skillsets are applicable to this Role. The CV for the proposed Resource as set out in the Response Document must clearly and comprehensively demonstrate the Resource’s proven experience with the following:

·         Data architecture, enterprise data design and enterprise architecture alignment (business, application, data, and technology layers).

·         Designing integrated data solutions across complex ICT environments.

·         Azure SQL Server, or equivalent

·         Entity Framework, or equivalent
