Role based in Belgium - Rotation Plan available
We are looking for an experienced Welding Supervisor to join our team in Belgium.
The Welding Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all welding and fabrication activities on a pharmaceutical project, ensuring work is completed safely, to specification, and in compliance with stringent pharma, quality, and regulatory standards (e.g., GMP).
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily welding activities on-site
- Ensure all welding work complies with:
- Approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Project specifications and drawings
- Pharmaceutical industry standards (e.g., hygienic piping, orbital welding)
- Monitor weld quality and ensure adherence to QA/QC requirements
- Liaise with QA/QC inspectors for weld inspections, NDT, and documentation
- Ensure proper material traceability (e.g., stainless steel, high-purity systems)
- Coordinate with other trades (pipefitters, mechanical teams, QA, validation)
- Ensure all welders are qualified and certified for required procedures
- Maintain welding logs, weld maps, and turnover documentation
- Support commissioning and validation activities where required
- Identify and resolve technical or site-related welding issues
