The role You will run finance for the Irish regulated entity end to end, covering financial control, FP&A, treasury, tax, and the PCF-11 regulatory piece. You'll also be responsible for safeguarding client funds and crypto-assets. This role involves both building and running functions as we prepare an EMI authorisation.

What you’ll own

PCF-11 accountability with the CBI.

Safeguarding client funds and crypto-assets– segregation, daily reconciliations, safeguarding audit, and related controls.

Finance inputs for the EMI authorisation– business plan, financial projections, capital plan, and safeguarding methodology.

Prudential capital and own funds across digital assets and EMI regimes with a clear buffer and escalation plan.

Statutory accounts, month‑end close, accounting policy for digital assets and e‑money, and regulatory returns.

Budget, forecast, three‑year plan, board MI, and commercial partnering with the CEO, COO, and product and trading leads.

Treasury across fiat and crypto, Irish tax, and external audits.

Build, coach, and scale the Dublin finance team.

Who we’re looking for, and this part really matters The technical bar matters, but we need someone who thrives in a startup‑shaped, global, regulated business:

Very strong stakeholder management– hold your own with the CEO, board, CBI, auditors, and global group functions.

Strong project management instincts– run multiple projects such as EMI application, finance build‑out, systems, and team build.

Comfortable building from scratch– policies, controls, reporting packs, and the team itself.

Ability to bring people together globally and unblock across regions.

Hands‑on in a startup way – no task is below you while building.

Background you’ll likely have

Qualified accountant with around 10+ years post‑qual.

Current or prior PCF‑11 experience.

Senior finance leadership in payments, EMI, or digital assets business. Digital assets ideal; strong payments background acceptable.

Direct CBI engagement– prudential returns, supervisory meetings, authorisation or variation experience.

Working knowledge of MiCAR and payments/EMI safeguarding– daily protection of client money and crypto.
