An established and growing manufacturing and installation business is seeking a commercially focused Financial Controller to take ownership of the finance function and support the next phase of business growth.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a fully qualified accountant with 2–3 years’ post-qualification experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior finance position. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management, oversee a finance team, strengthen financial controls, and help modernise systems and processes across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance analysis Lead month-end and year-end close processes Produce financial reporting and commentary for senior leadership Manage budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis Oversee cash flow management, forecasts, and working capital Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory obligations Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and professional bodies Lead and develop a finance team, fostering a supportive and high-performing culture Drive improvements in financial systems, reporting, and operational efficiencies Support the implementation and optimisation of ERP/accounting systems, including Business Central Partner with operational teams to support strategic decision-making and business performance Contribute to ongoing transformation initiatives and process modernisation Requirements
Essential
Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) 2–3 years’ post-qualification experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role Strong experience preparing management accounts and financial reporting Excellent technical accounting knowledge Strong Excel and analytical skills Experience using ERP/accounting systems High attention to detail with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders Desirable
