Workshop Foreman, Dublin

Role responsibilities

Oversee the day‑to‑day operation of the workshop ensuring optimum and consistent labour utilisation, labour deployment and job efficiency Manage a team of 10 technicians in a busy environment Maintain a safe and clean work environment Book vehicles for service and repair via telephone, email or in personGenerate estimates and invoices Hand over vehicles to customers, explaining any issues and future work required Meet with customers to identify and clearly understand problems as and when required Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices Complete relevant service documentation in line with dealer and manufacturer requirementsCheck level and quality of work through diagnostic equipment and road‑testing vehicles after work has been carried out Qualifications

Ideally but not essentially a qualified mechanic or a person with 3 years’ experience in managing a vehicle workshop and team of technicians Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills Strong computer skills including MS Office; experience of Assetminder would be an advantageHGV / PSV licence an advantage Team player with ability to work on their own initiative Be flexible and prepared to work in any required areas Benefits
