Grangecastle, Dublin. Permanent. 39 hours per week (08:00 to 16:30). Overview of the Role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the execution of the Preventive and Corrective maintenance program as per the Client / PPU requirement. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Maintain relationships with the Veolia Site Manager, Client, Shift Lead and Engineering team. Develop new relationships across the site with internal Veolia staff, Client representatives, Engineering team and subcontractors. Act as the point of contact for escalation of any plant maintenance issues.Troubleshoot problems with utilities equipment as directed by site supervisors. Complete site documentation before and after work tasks, as appropriate. Update maintenance task lists (MTLs) as required. Ensure all work complies with site EHS and Veolia EHS rules and guidelines. Liaise with the shift team on all utilities equipment.Co‑ordinate with contractors during planned service maintenance. Participate in required training. Conduct risk assessments of equipment maintenance tasks and keep PMO records valid. Review EWI/SOP documents periodically to ensure they remain current and valid. Investigate utility plant equipment faults and failures in conjunction with the Shift Operation Group.Identify, liaise with and coordinate third‑party contractors and suppliers on site. Ensure engineering areas, in liaison with Contract Manager and Contract Coordinator, remain clean, safe, serviceable, and maintain housekeeping standards. Drive continuous improvement of contract delivery on site.Required Skills and Qualifications

Senior Trades, City&Guilds or equivalent in Mechanical / Building Services engineering. Mechanical / Building Services, or Utilities experience– minimum 2 years with good understanding of utilities systems (pumps, HVAC, air compressors, boilers, steam systems, chillers, cooling towers, clean steam boilers, purified water systems, WFI, CIP, refrigeration, process gases, BMS/SCADA).Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance systems, including Predictive Maintenance (CBM) techniques. Experience working within a Computerise Maintenance Management System (CMMS) environment (EAMS/SAP). Fluency in Permit to Work systems, Method Statements, Risk Assessments and COHE methods.Computer literate with good organisational skills; proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and client PC applications. Ability to read and understand P&ID drawings, SOPs/EWIs, GMP Engineering systems, and basic instrumentation. Hands‑on experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical/building services systems. Strong initiative, pro‑active attitude, self‑motivation, and ability to work both independently and as a team player. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; keen attention to detail; methodical andanalytical work approach.Good problem‑solving and troubleshooting ability; capable of communicating effectively with supervisors and colleagues. Preferred: experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or food industry, including recertification of bio‑safety cabinets/fume hoods, autoclaves, analytical laboratory environments, and maintenance of RO/WFI, autoclaves, fume-hoods, bio‑safety cabinets, LAF cabinets, fire suppression systems, and vacuum systems.Required: proof of right to work in Ireland for EU/EEA nationals, or valid permission to work and reside for non‑EU/EEA nationals.
