Principal AI Product Manager– Internal AI Transformation

WP Engine is looking for a Principal AI Product Manager to serve as the strategic architect of our internal AI transformation, moving the organization from fragmented“Shadow AI” usage to a unified, secure Enterprise Agent Fabric. Reporting to the VP of ETT, you will lead the AI Council, partner with executive stakeholders, and co‑lead the creation of an AI OS that powers our global workforce.Key Responsibilities

Steer the internal AI Council and advise the C‑suite on AI adoption, ethics, and investment. Build the “AI OS”: define requirements for a centralized orchestration layer enabling secure AI agent interactions with core systems via MuleSoft and native API integrations. Drive transformation across global Data Overhaul and Lead‑to‑Cashmodernization, ensuring a governed AI gateway with high‑fidelity data.Lead“Buy vs Build” strategy by evaluating Salesforce, Workday, and custom RAG‑based solutions while embedding automated security guardrails into the platform DNA. Translate complex AI concepts (LLMOps, Token Economics) into high‑impact business narratives and influence cross‑functional teams(Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal).Qualifications

7–10+ years in Product Management, preferably in Enterprise Platforms, Data Products, or Systems Architecture. Deep understanding of generative AI tools, LLMs, and RAG, with a focus on data hygiene. Proven experience with MuleSoft (or similar middleware) for AI agent connectivity. Track record in AI ethics, responsible AI, and data governance.Executive presence and ability to partner closely with business functions and influence C‑suite stakeholders. Location: Based in Ireland with the ability to sync daily with US Central/East Coast hours. Familiarity with ETL/ELT, Snowflake, BI tools, and data “cleanliness” standards for LLM consumption.Nice‑to‑Haves

Experience with orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex). Knowledge of vector databases and model evaluation frameworks (Ragas, TruLens). Evaluation of native AI solutions such as Salesforce Einstein or Zendesk AI. Familiarity with Snowflake and BI toolsets. Perks and Benefits
