Design Manager - Dublin Main Contractor | Large-Scale Construction Projects A leading and expanding construction contractor is currently seeking an experienced Design Manager to join their growing team in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional with strong technical and coordination experience to play a key role in the successful delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary projects from pre-construction through to completion. The Role The successful candidate will lead and manage the design process across projects, ensuring all design information is coordinated, compliant, and issued in line with programme requirements. You will work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to mitigate risk and support high-quality project delivery. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate the full design process throughout the project lifecycle Review designs for buildability, compliance, coordination, and risk Ensure timely issue and control of all design information Maintain design trackers, records, and document control systems Act as the primary point of contact for clients on design-related matters Liaise with architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors Identify and manage design risks, programme impacts, and coordination issues Ensure compliance with Irish building regulations and health&safety legislation Chair design coordination meetings and workshops Prepare reports, presentations, and progress updates for senior stakeholders Support and mentor junior team members where required Requirements Degree qualified in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline Strong experience in a Design Manager or Senior Design role within construction Excellent understanding of construction design processes and project delivery Experience working on complex, multi-disciplinary projects Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage multiple design interfaces and deadlines effectively Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations and safety standards What's on Offer Long-term career opportunity with a growing contractor Exposure to high-profile construction projects Pension scheme and company benefits package Ongoing training, CPD, and career development opportunities Supportive and collaborative working environmentTPBN1_IJ
