Principal Machine Learning Engineer, Dublin

CPL is recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading global investment firm, for a Principal Machine Learning Engineer in Dublin on a 12-month contract with high daily rates. This is a strategic role within the client’s Workplace Investing AI & ML squad, delivering next-generation AI/ML solutions for Participant Services.

Role overview

You will be a senior technical leader designing and deploying scalable AI/ML solutions end-to-end, working closely with data engineers, data scientists, and product teams in a fast-paced, integrated environment.

Key responsibilities

Deliver end-to-end AI/ML solutions from analysis and design through development, testing, deployment, and optimisationBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deploy to cloud (AWS preferred)Lead model lifecycle work: EDA, feature engineering, deployment, tuning, monitoring, and retraining in a cloud MLOps environmentDevelop and support APIs and data platforms using modern engineering practices (containers, orchestration)Lead multiple initiatives concurrently and coordinate across teams

Required experience

Significant experience on large-scale AI/ML initiatives across the full ML lifecycleStrong hands-on AWS (S3, EC2, Lambda, Glue, SNS, SQS) and data platforms (Snowflake, RDS/Postgres, DynamoDB)CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, uDeploy, Concourse) and cloud security (IAM, policies, certificates)Advanced SQL and complex data analysis across multiple data platformsOrchestration/DAG tools (Airflow, Prefect, Luigi, Kubeflow)API development with Java (Spring Boot) and/or Python microservices, deployed with Docker and KubernetesUnderstanding of model development, scoring (inference), and cloud-based MLOps

Desirable experience

AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, MLflow, ModelOp, SeldonAI services: AWS Textract, Comprehend, Kendra; Azure Cognitive Services
