Senior UX/UI designer, Dublin

Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to join a growing Information Systems / Product team. This role focuses on designing intuitive, user-centred software and digital platforms that balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints. The successful candidate will play a key role across the full product lifecycle, from discovery and research through to high-fidelity design and delivery, working closely with Product, Engineering, and senior stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead discovery sessions, workshops, and requirements-gathering activities to understand user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints Translate complex concepts into clear user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to define and deliver solutions throughout the product lifecycle Facilitate and evolve product vision through user research, ideation, prototyping, usability testing, and validation Design experiences optimised for mobile, tablet, and desktop, using responsive and mobile-first approaches Identify UX challenges in both new and existing products and propose thoughtful, evidence-based design solutions Evaluate existing applications and continuously improve usability, accessibility, and overall user experience Use analytics, insights, and testing outcomes to inform design decisions and measure impact Ensure all designs meet usability, accessibility (WCAG), and brand standards Collaborate closely with front-end developers to ensure high-quality implementation and design integrity Contribute to the development and evolution of design systems, patterns, and best practices Clearly articulate design rationale and decisions to stakeholders at all levels, from senior leadership to delivery teamsOperate in line with relevant governance, risk, and compliance frameworks Required Skills&Experience Strong experience in UI/UX or Product Design roles within the financial services industry Demonstrated ability to deliver end-to-end design, from discovery through to implementation Portfolio showcasing user-centred design thinking, problem solving, and real-world impact Degree in Design (e.g. Graphic, Product, Industrial, Architecture) or equivalent professional experience Design Expertise Deep understanding of user-centred design (UCD) principles and methodologies Proven experience conducting user research, usability testing, A/B testing, and rapid prototyping Strong knowledge of responsive and mobile-first design approaches Experience working within agile, cross-functional product teams Ability to influence design direction and contribute to product and organisational strategy Excellent facilitation, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail Ability to synthesise complex information into clear, actionable design solutions Excellent communication skills, both visual and verbal Tools&Technical Skills Expertise with industry-standard design tools (e.g. Figma, FigJam) Experience producing low- and high-fidelity prototypes Familiarity with design systems and component-based design Strong understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is beneficial but not essential Experience designing and maintaining cross-platform design systems Ability to code or build interactive prototypes Experience with interactive design, motion, or animation Background designing complex enterprise or platform products Experience working in regulated or fast-paced environments What's on Offer Opportunity to work on high-impact, user-focused digital products Collaborative, inclusive, and design-led culture Strong emphasis on learning, professional growth, and continuous improvement Close partnership with Product and Engineering teams Flexible working arrangements supporting wellbeing and productivity Benefits: Work From HomeTPBN1_IJ
