Job Title: Employee Relations Advisor
Reports to: Chief People Officer
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 37 hours per week. Monday-Thursday: 9:00am-5:00pm, Friday: 9:00am-4:30pm
Location: Dublin 15
Role Overview
The Employee Relations Advisor provides specialist guidance and support to managers on employee relations matters across the Company.
The role ensures that workplace issues are managed fairly, consistently, and in compliance with Irish employment legislation and company policies.
Working closely with operational managers, HR colleagues, and senior leadership, the Employee Relations Advisor supports the effective resolution of workplace issues, leads or supports investigations, and helps build management capability in people management.
The role plays an important part in maintaining positive working relationships, reducing workplace risk, and ensuring that people practices support organisational performance and employee wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance management, and conduct issues.
- Support managers in managing employee relations cases in a fair, consistent, and legally compliant manner.
- Lead or support workplace investigations, ensuring that procedures are followed and outcomes are documented appropriately.
- Prepare documentation for formal meetings, investigations, and disciplinary processes.
- Ensure employee relations cases are managed in line with company policies and Irish employment legislation.
- Provide guidance and practical support to managers on handling people management challenges.
- Support the development of manager capability through coaching and practical guidance on employee relations matters.
- Support compliance with Irish employment legislation and company policies.
- Support the implementation and consistent application of HR policies across the Company.
- Work closely with HR colleagues to ensure employee lifecycle processes are supported from an employee relations perspective.
Qualifications & Experience
- Third-level qualification in Human Resources, Business, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a HR or employee relations role.
- Strong working knowledge of Irish employment legislation.
- Experience supporting disciplinary, grievance, and workplace investigation processes.
- Strong communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
- CIPD qualification or working towards desirable.
