Staff Grade Speech and Language Therapist - Full Time Residential Services St. John of God Community Services is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Staff Grade Speech and Language Therapist to join our expanding multidisciplinary team within Adult Intellectual Disability Services in the North East region. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated clinician who is passionate about supporting adults with intellectual disabilities to live meaningful and fulfilling lives within their communities. The successful candidate will work as part of a progressive and innovative service committed to person-centred, rights-based practice. Location The role will be based in St John of Gods Hilltop, with travel across Louth and Meath required to meet the needs of the service. Salary€45,063 - €64,424 pro rata Hours 35 hours per week Annual Leave 29 days pro rata, plus public holidays in accordance with the Organisation of Working Time Act 1997. About the Role The successful candidate will support the development and delivery of Speech and Language Therapy services to adultswith intellectual disabilities under the supervision of an experienced Senior Speech and Language Therapist. The postholder will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary and frontline colleagues to deliver high-quality, person-centred supports. The role offers excellent opportunities for professional development, including supervision, peer support, and guidance from the wider St John of God Speech and Language Therapy Team. Essential Requirements Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy Undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in dysphagia CORU registration, or in the process of registering with CORU Strong communication, organisational, flexibility, and initiative skills Interest in developing skills in AAC and supporting minimally speaking and non-speaking individuals Understanding of person-centred and rights-based approaches Full clean driver's licence and access to a car Desirable Experience Experience working with autistic adults and adults with intellectual disabilities, including placements Experience implementing or supporting Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) Experience working within a multidisciplinary team Experience delivering training to families and staff teams Experience collaborating with families, support staff, and professionals Lmh training completed Reporting Relationships Responsible to: Regional Director Reports to: Senior Speech and Language Therapist and Principal Social Worker (MDT Manager) Why Join Us?
