Job: Staff Grade Occupational Therapist (Acute) Older Persons Rehabilitation Location: Dundalk Contract Type: Full-Time, 35 hour week, Mon- Fri Salary: Aligned with HSE Payscale Excel Healthcare are currently recruiting a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist, to join a friendly, supportive, team within in Dundalk Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity to build on your experience and advance your clinical skills in Older Persons Rehabilitation. Job Purpose As a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred occupational therapy services to older adults undergoing rehabilitation. You will play a key role in supporting patients to maximise their independence, functional ability, and overall wellbeing. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the delivery of comprehensive rehabilitation programmes in a supportive and progressive clinical setting. Key Responsibilities Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions for older persons in a rehabilitation setting Develop and implement individualised treatment plans focused on functional independence and safe discharge planning Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members including Physiotherapists, Nurses, and Medical Staff Provide education and support to patients and their families/carers Complete clinical documentation and reports in line with professional standards Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and service development initiatives Essential Requirements BSc in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent recognised qualification) CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist Previous experience working with older persons / geriatric rehabilitation Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Full driving licence and access to a car (desirable) What you need to do now: For more information about this opportunity, please reach out confidentially to Charlene Cooke by email or telephone EXCLCHAR Skills: Staff grade Occupational Therapist Hospital Job Older person rehab Dundalk jobTPBN1_IJ
