We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated

Registered General Nurse (RGN)

to provide high-quality care to an elderly residents in Louth, Ireland.

Responsibilities

Ensure the efficient running of the nursing home and maintain a supportive, client-focused environment.

Report any client illness promptly and arrange GP or other professional reviews when needed.

Complete, update, and maintain individualised Care Plans in line with An Bord Altranais and company guidelines.

Assess and review clients’ health and social care needs, providing direct nursing care and ongoing supervision.

Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely monthly (or more frequent) Care Plan reviews.

Conduct regular client checks and provide clear, concise shift handovers to relevant staff.

Administer and document medications safely and in accordance with company procedures and regulatory standards.

Communicate effectively with clients, families, colleagues, and the multidisciplinary team; participate in meetings as required.

Follow all Health&Safety, infection control, emergency, and fire procedures; report hazards, incidents, and equipment issues immediately.

Protect confidentiality, follow all policies and regulations, maintain equipment and security, and perform additional reasonable duties as assigned.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

Genuine interest in working with the relevant client group

Current registration with An Bord Altranais

Strong team player

Registered 1st level Nurse

Experience or qualification in care for the relevant client category

Knowledge of HIQA Standards

Previous supervisory experience
