We have successfully implemented Building Information Modelling (BIM) from concept through to handover on a vast number of projects.
Currently, CSEA employs over 115 staff across our two offices.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery of civil engineering design across a range of projects, with a focus on active travel and urban infrastructure schemes
Delivery of designs through all project stages, including feasibility, preliminary, detailed design, and construction
Design of roads, junctions, and streetscapes incorporating walking, cycling, and public realm improvements
Preparation and review of drawings, calculations, and technical deliverables in accordance with relevant Irish standards and guidance (e.g. DMURS, NTA, TII, TSM)
Coordination with multidisciplinary teams, including landscape architects, structural engineers to deliver integrated urban solutions
Providing guidance to technicians,
Participation in client, stakeholders, and project team meetings
Undertaking site visits for surveys, inspections, and construction support, as required
Preparation of technical reports, specifications, and contract documentation
Supporting project planning, programming to meet deadlines
Liaising with local authorities, utility providers, and other stakeholders as part of the design and approval process
Contributing to design reviews with a focus on safety, accessibility, sustainability and buildability.
Supporting quality assurance process and ensuring compliance with internal procedures
Contributing to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within team.
Minimum 5+ years’ experience working on civil projects, preferably within urban and/or active travel projects
Degree in Civil Engineering (Level 8 or equivalent)
Strong understating of Irish design standards and guidance
Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is advantageous
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to manage workload and work effectively within a team environment
Progress toward or interest in professional accreditation (e.g. Chartered Engineer) is desirable.
