Executive Director, Dún Laoghaire

Pavilion Theatre, located in the heart of Dún Laoghaire, is a key part of Ireland’s national arts infrastructure and operates under the auspices of Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown County Council.

A vibrant, multi‑disciplinary venue, Pavilion plays a central role in the cultural life of the Dublin region, presenting an ambitious programme of theatre, music, dance, comedy, film and community‑based work, alongside a strong commitment to artist development.

Following a period of growth and strategic development, Pavilion Theatre now seeks to appoint an Executive Director to lead the organisation into its next phase.

The Role Reporting to the Chair and Board, the Executive Director will have overall responsibility for the artistic, strategic, operational and financial leadership of the Theatre.

Leading the implementation of Pavilion Theatre’s Strategy 2025–2028

Ensuring delivery of a high‑quality, ambitious artistic programme and artist supports

Providing strong organisational leadership and team development

Overseeing financial management and long‑term sustainability

Managing technical production and capital development

Leading stakeholder engagement and public value delivery

The Individual The successful candidate will be a senior leader who:

Can balance artistic ambition with strong governance and commercial acumen

Brings significant leadership experience within a multi‑disciplinary cultural venue

Has a strong understanding of the Irish arts funding and policy landscape

Demonstrates proven capability in organisational leadership, stakeholder engagement and team development
