The Role The Commercial Account Executive will play a key role in supporting the existing renewal portfolio. The role will also strive to drive business delivery through identifying new commercial opportunities and growing the Business from a“ground up” level. Maintaining and developing existing relationships will also play a pivotal part of this role.
This is a new role within Gallagher Insurances with huge potential for growth and development opportunities for the right individual.
This is a hybrid role, that may involve some regional travel.
The Candidate We are looking for a self‑motivated, driven Sales Professional with a desire for professional growth and development.
The ideal candidate should have 3+ years experience in a similar role.
Very strong interpersonal skills, presentational skills and industry knowledge is a key requirement for the successful candidate.
As this is a growth role, the preferred candidate must have the ability to work on their own initiative and possess a strong desire to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Support the achievement of the Commercial Retention Business budget.
Contribute to upsell and cross‑sell campaign objectives.
Seek out and drive New Leads and Sales Opportunities
Relationship Management
Build trusted working relationships with brokers by anticipating needs and meeting commitments.
Share information effectively and support strong communication across stakeholders.
Work closely with the Sales Director and all other team members.
Contribute to a team‑focused environment ensuring broker needs are met.
Support the team in achieving monthly and annual performance targets.
Compliance&Professional Standards
Adhere to all audit and regulatory requirements.
Complete CPD within required timelines.
Maintain high‑quality file records in line with prescribed standards.
Candidate Requirements
Strong ability to work individually and as part of a wider team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Innovative approach to sales and growth strategies.
Significant attention to detail and Presentation skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet multiple deadlines.
Strong Market and Product Knowledge within the Commercial Insurance Market environment.
Working knowledge of Insurance Broker Portals, System etc.
A structured approach to time and resource management.
