Accounts Assistant, Galway

We are seeking to recruit an Accounts Assistant on behalf of our established client based in East Mayo.

Responsibilities include: Monthly bank reconciliations of the airport’s bank accounts and the accurate posting to the finance system of all related transactions Supplier reconciliations including reconciliation of the airport’s central billing accounts Cash handling duties, as and when required, including bank lodgement reconciliations and car park lodgementsAssistance with the Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger on an ad-hoc basis when required Deal with finance queries as appropriate Adhoc finance projects to include system reviews, process improvements and efficiency measures Any other duties relevant to this position and which can be reasonably expected and that will enhance your financial skills and experienceRequirements: Applicants must be either a business/finance graduate, accounting technician or a part qualified accountant with 2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar finance role. Willingness to learn and gain experience working in a busy finance department Excellent communicator at all levels both inside and outside the organisationMS Excel and accounting software experience required Self-motivated, self-starter who demonstrates a consistent‘can do approach’ Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team Reliable, trustworthy, dedicated to maintaining high quality standards and achieving company results Good problem solving and analytical skillsAbility to work under pressure to tight deadlines For more information, contact Leona at Arcon Recruitment.
