Job Title and Contract Details Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a part-time (0.4 FTE) specific purpose contract appointment as Lecturer in Accountancy, contract Type A with the Discipline of Accountancy and Finance. The contract is anticipated to last approximately one year and is intended to facilitate a job‑sharing role, equating to 2 days per week.

Responsibilities

Teach and examine at all levels.

Engage in associated research.

Assist with administration and development of the Accountancy and Finance Discipline and the J.E. Cairnes School of Business&Economics.

Contribute to the intellectual life of the University and the wider community.

Qualifications

Relevant teaching experience.

PhD Degree in Accountancy or a relevant professional accounting qualification.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Willingness to take initiative.

Benefits Salary :€64,903 to €103,538 pro rata p.a. (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011). The appointment will be made on the Lecturer scale in line with current Government pay policy and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the University’s Remuneration policy.

Full‑time hours of work for academic staff are 39 hours per week.
