Arcon Recruitment is currently recruiting for an

Assistant Accountant / Accounts Assistant

on behalf of our client, a leading Galway-based company. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with solid accounting experience who is looking to progress within a professional and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial statements.

Manage daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.

Reconcile bank accounts and supplier statements.

Process invoices, credit notes, and payments accurately and efficiently.

Assist with VAT and RCT returns.

Support the finance team with month-end and year-end reporting.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

Accounting technician qualification or studying towards ACCA/CPA/CIMA is desirable.

Experience in

Sage ,

QuickBooks , or similar accounting software.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work on own initiative.
