Description
We have a new role on with a well established company in Co. Mayo for a Trainee Accountant. Key Responsibilities of the Role:
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
Support the month‑end and year‑end close processes.
Reconcile bank statements and accounts.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Maintain and update accounting records and files.
Assist with audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Prepare and submit tax returns and other financial documentation.
Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting and forecasting activities.
Utilize accounting software for data entry and financial analysis.
Essential Criteria for the Role:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance is desirable or a related field
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Experience with accounting software is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
