Financial Controller, Galway

Financial Controller- Roscommon The employer is a well-established and highly respected organisation within the commercial vehicle and automotive sector.

About the Role The successful candidate will oversee financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, cash-flow management, and performance analysis while partnering closely with senior leadership to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the finance function and manage the preparation of monthly management accounts, annual financial statements, and audit processes.

Oversee statutory compliance, payroll, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.

Manage cash flow forecasting and provide financial analysis to support business performance and profitability.

Produce KPI reports and deliver meaningful insights to senior management and key stakeholders.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes and systems.

Support and mentor finance team members while fostering a collaborative working environment.

Liaise with wider business operations and interpret financial performance metrics for management review.

Requirements

Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CPA) with 5+ years’ post-qualification experience.

Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience in financial reporting and statutory compliance.

Advanced Excel and financial systems experience with strong analytical capabilities.

Proven leadership and people management skills with the ability to mentor and support teams.

Previous experience within the motor, automotive, or distribution sector would be advantageous.
