We are partnering with a fast-growing, commercial-stage medical device company in Galway to recruit a

Part-Qualified Accountant

to join their expanding finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative organisation operating in the life sciences sector, where you will gain broad exposure across finance operations in a fast-paced, international environment.

The Role Reporting into a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to‑day finance function while developing your technical accounting skills.

This is a varied role with strong exposure across:

Accounts Payable and supplier management (50%)

Payment runs and bank reconciliations

Journal postings (accruals, prepayments, depreciation)

Balance sheet reconciliations

Month‑end and year‑end close support

VAT / regulatory reporting (where required)

Expense management and internal controls

ERP system usage and process improvement initiatives

Support for Accounts Receivable as the business scales

Assistance with audit preparation

This is a highly hands‑on role with genuine scope to grow as the business continues its international expansion.

About You We are looking for someone who is:

Currently studying towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA / ACA / CIMA or equivalent)

Experienced in AP or broader finance/assistant accountant roles

Strong on accounting fundamentals and comfortable with month‑end processes

Confident working with ERP systems (NetSuite, Odoo, QuickBooks or similar)

Highly organised with strong attention to detail

Comfortable in a fast‑paced, evolving environment

A strong communicator with a proactive mindset

Experience in start‑up, SME or medical device environments would be an advantage but not essential.
